For this project I was told to make a 3d sustainable building out of cardboard. Because a log cabin is majority made of trees, which is a renewable resource, I thought that was the perfect type of building to take on.
I began by making the structure with rectangular base that I would then cover with scored "logs". The original structure had windows and a door cut out before the logs were added. I scored little pieces to fold and make the porch railings for a designed look on the sides. After making the swing I had attached it with paperboard but then I realized it would not swing therefore I added wire to the ends instead.
This project had me thinking completely outside of the box. I had to think of ways that I could make certain parts of the house look different than the other by using different techniques with the same medium.
